INSUMISO
In Spain most men are required to do national service. If they object on conscientious grounds, they are legally entitled to opt to do the longer community-based alternative,  Prestación Social Sustitutoria ( PSS). Those who refuse to do either form of service are called  insumisos. Many  insumisos argue that the discrimination against men inherent in the system is unconstitutional and the exploitation, as they see it, of unpaid labour is unlawful. Penalties for  insumisión (refusal to do either form of service) can be severe, and may include prison sentences.
